Subject:dragging .mp3 files into project

Whenever I drag and drop or open an .mp3 file in ACID PRO 3.0g, a track is added and the name of my sound shows up, but no sound waveform is there. When I right click on the track in my ACID project and select properties, my sound waveform shows up and I can play the sound. What am I missing and/or doing wrong?

The best thing to do is read the PDF manual that came with your purchased copy of Acid Pro 3.
If you've gotten a cracked copy (I did say IF), then you need to accept the fact that you'll need to do alot more trial and error compared to someone who purchased the software.
Sorry if I offended you by mentioning cracked copy, but when someone asks a VERY basic question about a discontinued PRO version of Acid, well...

MyST, thanks for the concern, but looks like he's legit. :)

Bustah, after you add a track into ACID, you need to draw out an event in the Track View (on the right).

Enjoy,

Well then bustah, welcome to the neighbourhood!

To draw out the event you just place your cursor on the track and hold the left mouse button while dragging towards the right.

For more help, check out the Acid tutorials on this site.

Start with the Acid basics and go from there.
There are also a couple good books for Acid 3.0
One is Acid Power! and the other is Sam's teach yourself Acid in 24 hrs.
