Subject:silence at the start and finish on an mp3 file

Hi..

I am converting an wav file into mp3 using sound forge 6 and when I re-open the file which is an mp3 now I am facing a problem becuase in the new file there is default silence being added up which is causing jumping in my music file while looping. If any one have a solution please help me

this topic has been discussed many times before. i suggest next time you have a question you do a search on this board.

to answer your question, the silence at the beginning and end of the track is one of the anomalies of the mp3 format. in other words, there is nothing you can do to remove these silences from the mp3 file. if you don't want the silence, keep the files in their original wav format.

To remove blanks from an mp3 file without any file conversions, try mp3Trim.
