im sure this is more of a question for microsoft but ill toss it out there just incase (sf, any ideas?). when i render a project and play it back in sforge everthing sounds great(exactly like when played in acid). however, when i play it back with media player it sounds muttled. i flatlined the eq in media player and in windows audio control and in my sblive panel. yet still its muttled. i checked the forums and saw no info about this. any clues? ~mz |

I just did this last night!! What a coincidence!!! If you want to play back your acid projects on windows media players you have to render your project as a .wma, .wmv, or .asf(.aif) and change your "kbps" to reflect "48kbps". I'm not at my studio right now, so I apologize for not being exact, but when you get to the rendering project page, there should be another drop down window either above or below the "save file as type" drop down window. That is where you set your "kbps" rate. 48 kbps is the standard, but you can choose a higher rate and see how that sounds for you!! I tend to stick with 48 kbps however!! Hope this helps....... peace, antonio |

Strange. It should work. Any 16-bit/44.1 kHz WAV I've rendered from either ACID or Sound Forge sounds just fine in Windows Media Player 9. Are you using the PCM (uncompressed) format when saving as WAV? Iacobus |
