If there are any ReWire devices - i.e. Reason - installed on your system, ACID will find them , assuming they are installed correctly. From the ACID prefs page, do you see a ReWire tab? If so, what does it show you? Peter |

>>I have reason installed and acid used to show a tab before in pref? but I have reinatalled so many times and i get no sign of the tab? ....shouls reason be loaded up first? << I don't understand what you tried to say here. Does a ReWire tab appear in ACID main Preferences setting property sheet? (From the ACID main menu : Options | Preferences....) If not, then ACID is not installed correctly. If it does, then what does ACID tell you about the state of ReWire in this page? You MUST start ACID - or any ReWire Master/Mixer FIRST. You then can start Reason from with in ACID or manually. Ok sorrt about my confusing question,.. the Rewire tab does not show, and I know were to look because the first time i updated I had reconizing rewire and saw the tab, ...then I had recording problems and decided to reinstall acid,...the after reinstalling and updateing I found that rewire never showed up in the preferences tabs?...so i have been installing and reinastalling both programs but with no luck, is their a way to manualy tell acid to look for rewire?, or what might be stopping acid from detecting my rewire program?..hope this helps and thanks for any help -noose |

"The playback device SB Audigy Audio [D800] does not exist." whicj IS my card? the other setting is "SB Audigy Audio ASIO 2496[D800]" and its the the ausio setting that keeps muting my line in when ever I try to record?? please help |

The muting of the input on the SB is a function of the SB hardware/driver. We have no control over this. What bit depth are you running ACID at? There is a bug in 4.0c/d that can prevent many cards from working at 24 bit when using Sound Mapper or Wave Classic Driver mode. You should have no problems with using the Audigy in 48 kHz. 24 bit is only supported by the Audigy 2 AFAIK. Peter |

Im using the audigy 2 platnum ex, and their tech support people confirmed it will record in 24bit? I have the latest drivers, i sent a request asking them what the problem was but they take a very long time to reply :( ...it is strange, it tends to mute wich ever channel I say im using for my rec in, ..and when I switch to a different line in and switch the mixer(in the sb software) to accept that line, it then mutes that line, and the channel it mutes also shows the slider cranked up to full?, Its fair to say you folks wouldnt know too much about this particular card to know how to shut the muting off eh>?... thanks -noose |

I have an Audigy 2 installed right now, and I'm not seeing the muting behavior that you are describing. Are you using the Creative provided "Surround Mixer" which should be running in your tray after installing the Audigy 2 CD? Where are you selecting your recording input? Nate |
