Subject:Windows XP performance slow after exiting SF6

Using WinXP Pro, 512 meg memory, >50 gig free on hard drive, SF6 I am using SF to copy tapes or LPs to WAV files, then to CDs. The file sizes are usually in the 500 meg range. After I exit Sound Forge, the performance of Windows is very slow. For example, it takes several seconds to open another program. If I go to Roxio Easy CD Creator to make a CD, it may say I can only record at 2x (my drive is capable of 48x). To restore normal performance I have to restart Windows. Is this a known problem? Is there a memory leak in SF? |
