I want to change the tempo on only one instrument, but I can't figure it out for the life of me!

You can try accessing the track's properties and under the Stretch tab, double the number of beats to halve the tempo; halve the number of beats to double the tempo.

Other than that, you can use Sound Forge's "Time Stretch" function and/or its ACID loop creation tools to modify the loop's ACIDized properties.

Remember, though: Tempo and number of beats are related as far as ACID's concerned. Change the number of beats and you change the tempo, for example. (I've already outlined that above.)

If you want that behavior, then you could edit the loop parameters of the track in question. Basically tell ACID that the number of beats is different than it is.

Why would you want to do this? That is, why would you want your guitar track playing at 120 but your drums playing at 150 while your bass track is playing at 90?

I could see a case where you want to use a loop half or double time to get a slow groove playing against a fast groove. This can be achieved by the method described above.
