If you want to filter the entire song for a just a part of the song, your better off rendering the section you want to filter to a new track and filtering it that way. It is possible to insert the resonant filter on the master track, but there is no way to set an envelope for the master like you set an envelope for each track (at least not that I know of). Actually, thats a great function that should be added to Acid 4.0 in the next revision. Merlyn |

Well all I need is to filter out part on a track, not part of the whole master. Like using the volume envelope to lower the volumn at the end of the track, I need to lower the bass at the end of the track. This is for each track, not for the master. Thanks for the Reply.. BTW.. |

Ok...i misunderstood. That is possible by automating the resonate filter. To do this, click on the track fx button (green button next to the volume fader) on the track you want to set the envelope for. When that audio track fx window opens, click the edit chain button (green). Next, when the plug in chain chooser window pops up, choose resonate filter. This will close the plug in chooser window and the audio track fx window should show the resonate filter plug in. Now right click on the track your going to filter, go to fx automation envelope and click fx automation, which will bring up the fx automation chooser. Pick the resonate filter at the top and then click the box next to frequency, then ok. An envelope which controls the frequency of the track now appears. Use the frequency envelope just like you would a volume envelope. Merlyn |

Automating Track EQ would also work for this. HTH, Joel |
