I've found that a bass loop I wanna use in a new project sounds distorted unless it's played at the loops original tempo. Any idea on how to fix this? |

Any loop will actually sound strange if it strays too far from its original tempo, especially if the new tempo is slower. As always, any loop that plays faster than its original tempo will sound better than playing slower. This is just the nature of digital audio coming into play. You can minimize some of the damage by going into the track's properties and under the Stretch tab, adjust and/or add stretch markers to subdivisions of the bass loop you feel should be accented. This will usually make the loop sound better at other tempos. Note this feature is only in ACID Pro. HTH, Iacobus |
