Ok..I have used ACID for years, know how it works. I have a soundblastr live right now that came with my Dell Dimension. I had Win ME and upgraded to XP. I t always recorded and monitored spunds fine before XP...since XP i have updated my sound drivers like I was told. When i send something through the line in, I unmute it in my little sound menu and I can hear the line in fine. But when i record in ACId or anything else, I get nothing registering in the monitors....no sound records...it sounds like it is trying to pick up sound through my mic input, but that input doesn't seem to record anymore...the line in works fine and I need to figure out how to use it. I have everything set up under prefeernces and hardware for the soundblaster, I have done every obvious thing I can think of. If anyone has a clue out there...please help! thanks |

sounds you need to select "line in" in the windows volume "record" option. double click the speaker in the system tray.. go to options>properties click the "recording" box under "adjust volume for" (make sure its checked in the scroll box below) click "ok" check (select) the box for "line in", adjust your levels and make a number one hit song! ~mz |

Thank you soooooooooo much!!!!!!!!!! I had the same problem. I just bought this program and I don't know didley about computers. I'm a musician (wannabe) and the user manual doesn't even mention the words "microphone or guitar" in it. I basically learned how to use this program by myself (thanks Sony) and I couldn't figure out for the life of me how to record using the "line in" jack. Big help. Now I can record my drum machine in stereo. Jim S. Fla. |
