Subject:How to record guitar Acid without recording other loops in project?

Hi,

I have Acid 4 and have a problem recording audio. When I record some guitar, the recording includes the guitar and the drumloop I was using to play over. I tried to locate a metronome to no avail. Can someone help me? I am very frustrated! I am not using any external hardware, just the pc.

search the forums for "track pinging" etc. this has been covered several times so you may not get many reponces
