Just inherited a great turntable and I am recording old LP's and 45's. Any recomendations on how to clean up scratches, snaps or pops?

you should be able to do some editing, if not all, in Sound Forge Studio.

waves restoration bundle!!!! i was shocked how well it works! and it doesnt kill all the high end freq's like the sf plug. i think theres a demo.

I think if you look around the web, there's a Sound Forge 6.0 / Noise Reduction 2.0 bundle at a "pretty decent" price. Don't know what it is however. Try a google for "sound forge noise reduction bundle".

You can get Steinberg's Clean 2.0 (comes with Wavelab Lite 2.5) for $20 at Guitar Center. It's designed to clean up record scratches and pops. It uses Steinberg's De-Noiser, De-Clicker and De-Popper effects, as well as allowing you to add a few other effects to "restore" the sound.

ive used them all and waves surpasses them by far. (im not on the payroll, just blew my mind how much better it worked.)
