I also use it with no problem. Hate to beat the old dead horse, try a reinstall.

Even after a reinstallation the SF6e would not cave in and shows the same error message. Thanks anyway.

Did you try reinstalling both SF AND Sonic Maximizer?

Yes, I did - no success. I shoud add, however, that my SF6e has similar trouble with some other plugs e.g. DSP/FX when I work with 24-bits waves. Since the 16 bits files are processed correctly I am assuming that my SF6e is not properly setup for 24bits operation. (?). Thanks for your help.

SF 6 works fine with 24 bit - I do it every day and I've never had a problem in this area. Check elsewhere in your system setup and/or configuration.
