I figure this might be related to the last post that I asked about using drivers? but while I was waiting for a reply I figured i should ask if this problem was related or not and what might i do to fix this small anoyence?.... many thanks for any and all the help so far -noose :) |

Sounds like something went kablooey in the process. You should be able to do what you want. Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling ACID as well as uninstalling and reinstalling your Audigy's drivers yet? What if you tried setting overall project settings to 16-bit/48 kHz? Does that help any? HTH, Iacobus |

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling acid 2 times now, as well as reupdateing, still same anoying mute thing happening?, seems to be since the last update that this happened? I also went and updated all my sound card drivers from their site, and its latest updates are still WDM driver types? were do I find a acid friendly ASIO driver that also is supported by soundblaster? anyone?.. thanks :) -noose |

Did you try doing 16-bit/48 kHz like I suggested? Does that help any? Aren't ASIO drivers included with the updates? Iacobus |

Well I tried switching to 16 bit and everytime acide crashed...."acid 4.0exe has encountered a problem and needs to shut down"??? this is even after reinstalling and patching up to the newest patch? is this like acid alegic to my sound card? Im going to try not update after my next install and see if this is something else wrong with my computer.. and I downloaded the latest drivers from creative and couldnt find the ASIO? acid says its using a "creative ASIO" driver, but my card says it running one of those WDM ones you warned me about.? It is realy hard to fix these problems when you arnt realy shure what exactly isnt doing its job properly,.. still if you have any suggestions for what I should try next I would love to hear em.. thanks again -noose |
