This depends upon which "drivers you work with and what kind of card... if you are using Win Drivers, and MME this will help otherwise with a Sound Blaster card there is nothing that I know of at this time whcih wil fix the latency issue... If using SB or similar - consider clicking on the "Automatically detect..." box - this has worked for me without any latency issues with a simple SB card. I will paraphrase from the "VV4 Audio" Forum: Go to your Options > Prefrences > Audio > Latency and adjust your latency LOWER (it will not work if you go higher). Apply this LOWER LATENCY number (i.e: if your latency is normally 9.8 ms, change it to 9.2 or 8.8, etc and APPLY). Close the window. Re-open the window to the same location and re-apply the correct latency to the box or slider... Apply... This "FIX" will work for this session only and cannot be saved. If you OPEN another session or close ACID for some reason, you will need to re-set as described above. Additionally, as I stated prior THIS FIX CANNOT BE SAVED with the project or session -so when you re-open the project a day or so later... you will need to re-set as described. I am hoping SoFo looks at why it cannot be SAVED, and how we can disemminate this information to ALL SoFO users so that we can all work with the software...
