Subject:Problem With ACID Pro 4.0d Update: Recordings Out of Sync

The ACID 4.0a (CD) program I use works fine, and continued to work fine up until the last version (4.0d). There was a fix involved, I suppose, but now anything I record is thrown out of sync. I imported an ACID loop into the program, then recording a bass drum hit on every quarter note (played live, by hand). Now, I'm not expecting MIDI sync for what I was doing, but the hits landed almost an 8th note out of sync, so that instead of on the downbeat, it was on the upbeat. This only happened with the latest build. Most of my music is recorded with MIDI sync, but vocals & guitar are recorded live. Help! My audio interface is the STA C-Port DSP 2000. |

There's already at least 3 threads on this topic in the last 3 days. Join the club :-( This, according to some, is a bug that showed up in build 'c'. Did you ever use that build? I just got Pro 4.d. Before that I was using Pro 3.0. I record guitar, bass, and vox, live as well. Out of sync, just like you're experiencing. All my recorded stuff in 4.0d is slow. |

I'm fairly certain that I've used each build (a,b,c,d), but only experienced problems in d. I'm using a now, which works fine. So, until this problem is addressed in a new fix, then I'm using the old version. Fortunately, I don't use surround sound yet. I could use the d version, and zoom in excrutiatingly close and edit/move the recordings - but that's a waste of time and just not worth the money I paid for the program. |
