There's been a huge amount of discussion in the forum about Acid style / music / pro comparisons, usually ending up with a URL to the comparision chart(s). Here's my problem; I don't have enough cash for Pro, so we can forget about that right now ( I can always upgrade later if I turn out to be the next Tall Paul...) Acid Xpress pretty much does what I want to do, except for a few things; it has limited tracks can't save to anything other than Acid-specific formats No FX Now, I would buy Acid Style techno, but, the "genre-specific" thing in the chart puts me off, what exactly does this mean, can I import my own .wavs, and will I be able to open existing acid projects? And also; what are the following features: ripple editing Beatmapper Effect Envelopes Many thanks, and if there's anything else Music can do that Techno can't, please inform!

You can always check out the comparison chart to see the differences between Acid DJ and Acid Music. Music is more expensive, but gives you alot of bang for the buck. Download the demo for Music after and try IT out. Hope this helps. M

IMHO, there is no functional difference between DJ and the other Styles. I think the differences are the loops that come with each but you can use Techno loops in DJ and vice-versa.

The price is very very good and the price on the box is not correct. You can use any .WAV file, save or open MP3 files and change Temp/Pitch. There is MIDI playback support as well. Good Luck!

Ok...

Here's my problem;
