i have a major problem and i have racked my brains to get it straight for like 4 days, but no success. Now i just rely on help from u guys , and me will be very thankful to u if u could help me out as my work here has come to a complete standstill.

In acid, i tried all the buffer sizes, various settings, and so on , but there is lot of crackle in the recording. I had audigy soundblaster before. Everything was fine then....but after i have installed audiophile2496, its been a problem with acid...what should i do to solve this grave problem? For that matter, this crackle is there in other music softwares too...
but as i use acid the maximum , i would need some urgent help from u .
thanks a lot.

Have you tried the specific ASIO/Acid-fix beta drivers for the Audiophile?
You need to check for betadrivers to list them on the Maudio site.
Also, do you get crackles using the Windows Classic driver inside Acid?

What operating system (OS) are you using?

Cards like the Audiophile typically like to have an IRQ resource all their own. Crackling is a common symptom of devices sharing IRQ's.
