Subject:Simple problem Im stuck on?

I just want to record the redrum muchine to acid but whenever I make a midi track and hit record it plays the beat but I get nothing?? I must have a midi thing or setting wrong any Ideas?

Assuming you've cleared up your "invalid device" problem, ensure that real time MIDI is enabled. ALT+F7 is the shortcut to toggle.

Be also sure you specify a MIDI input for recording via the MIDI tab under Options>Preferences on the menu bar.
