Hi: A newbie question. I recently purchases Acid Pro 4.0 and 6 drum loop CD's including Mick Fleetwood's. Is there a printed list of each loop CD contents ( ie master sheet) somewhere on the CD's or other place I have not seen that I can print off? Also. Is there a way I can keep a category library list on my computer that works well? Thanks. Bob |

In response to your first question, I believe not. For your second question, I'm thinking that you could go through your collections and enter them in a database (like Microsoft Works' database function or Microsoft Access). Then you can punch up and/or print out what you're looking for (and subsequently enter new data as you acquire more loop collections). HTH, Iacobus |

Once you get a few gigs of loops, you may wish to organize them all (in whatever system works for you) on a separate drive. If you wait too long it's a tedious task but worth it once you've got it in place. I have mine on a removable IDE drive that I put in my backup drive bay when I want to use it. A firewire drive works great as well. drbam |

Here is what I do with big directories of samples and loops. 1) Put in the CD 2) Open a command prompt (Start>Run then "command" under 9x or "cmd" under 2k/xp) 3) Change to the proper directory on your CD drive 4) Type: dir /b /s > c:\mylist.txt Now, you will have a file at the root of your C: drive that has a full list of all files in that directory and it's subdirectories with their full paths. Drop that into a spreadsheet or capable text editor, and with a little search and replace, you have a nicely formatted tree of all the files on your CD. Hope this helps. Nate |
