Subject:Audio settings bug in Acid 4.0d???

Hi,

I love Acid, but I have this crazy bug going on with the soundcard setup and I wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing this or is it my junky soundcard. First off I have just a basic run of the mill sound card, a Yamaha AC-XG with latest drivers. I know it's not ideal for this type of software but it's what I got right now.... The setting for automatically detect and offset hardware recording latency wouldn't ever do it for me, so I uncheck the box and adjusted the slide rule until I got it in perfect sync. I tested recording MIDI tracks to Audio, recording Reason 1.0 Rewire drum machine patterns, and me playing guitar through the LINE IN on my soundcard. I found that 115ms would sync each newly recorded track perfectly. I applied this as my setting for the soundcard, but when I restarted Acid later and recorded a track everything was grossly out of sync again even though my 115ms setting was still in the audio prefs. I slid the bar up to 116 and back to 155 and applied the setting again and now everything is recording in sync again. I have to do this each time a start a new session of ACID. Any ideas?? Is Acid forgetting my setting or is it my piece o junk sound card?

Thanks in advance

After downloading the patch for 4.0d, I haven't been able to sort out the latency issue either. ACID would automatically detect and adjust for latency, but now everything I record is out of sync. I can't figure out why, so I may just have to uninstall and reinstall everything. If I do, then I'm not going to patch the latest version.

I've spent hours trying to figure this out. Hours that I could have been recording and finishing my latest track. Yeah, I'm frustrated.
