With acid 4.0 I'm finding a proccessing problem. I'm not positive if its the proccessing actually, but heres what is happening. I use xp, I have 512 megs of ram, 1 ghz cpu, when listening to a song in acid (that only uses 49 megs of ram) the song begins to stutter, it will stutter only at certain times though, like right toward the end of the fourth measure. I'm not using tons of effects either. Does anyone know whats going on here? And is there a way to allocate more proccessing power to acid while I'm using it? |

hmm sounds like your buffer is set low check your ASIO control panel and try a larger buffer rate |

Do a search for the denormal bug. It may be something like that. Experiment by diabling different effects until you find the problem. |

I have adjusted the buffer, at many different rates, but it still stutters less or more. I even tried the latancy offset plus the buffer, with minimal results... But i'll keep trying, I do appreciate the directions people give for matters such as this. |

Thanks for the link RasKeita, I changed a few settings and its running smoother (not completely stutter free, but better). |

Depending on what sound card you're using you may want to try updating your drivers. I know there were issues with M Audio...Level Vibes |

Ok, I think i have discovered the source of the trouble. As soon as I turned off my 'windowblinds' it ceased to stutter. Hopefully, if this question comes back up, this information will help. Thanks for all the assistance people. |

Its by stardock, it just makes your pcs windows skinable. Not a usefull program, all about looks. |
