Hey there,
I'm using pro 3 and everytime I try to render an mp3 file I get an error message with the following details:

HELP!!! Oh, I don't use outlook express (it usually causes trouble like this, I read in another post) Mp3 plug???

This is one of the many reasons why I am getting very tired of constantly struggling with acid/windows. I'm a musician, not a technician.

After reading these forums I get the impression that upgrading to pro 4 is more trouble than its worth...

Did I hear someone say 'crossgrade'???

Hey sonicFxxxdry: Stop releasing software that isn't finished yet!!! I'm not the only one getting pissed.

Can you render other file types ... .wav for instance?

Yes. No problem with other formats. Just mp3 : which I only ever use when I upload stuff to acidplanet.

I would strongly suggest downloading ACID Pro 3.0g, there's a very good chance this bug was fixed.

Hi SonicJEV,
where can I get the DL? Can you post a link?

Also, I just remembered another glitch: when I click the 'create CD' function, my computer totally freezes up after about 20 seconds. I think this problem may have actually damaged the hard drive on my second computer.

Any tips? Or will this also be fixed in the new DL?

PLEASE!!! Get acid 5.0 working right before its released!!!

Thanks again,
Peter Stone

There's a red square in the upper right-hand corner that says "download".

There's an "update" link on the next page.

It's quite likely your create cd problem was also fixed for ACID 3.0a, b, c, d, e, f, or g.

Happy mixing.

Thanks for the help, SonicJEV,
I got the 3.0g and it works fine now.

Still hesitant to upgrade to pro 4 though...mainly due to reading these forums and seeing what other people are going through with it.

P.

Download the demo version of ACID 4.0. You can have 3.0 and 4.0 installed on the same box with out any problems.
