I'm have a problem with Absynth. When I open it in Acid the "engine" starts for a split-second, then closes. I can see the gui in the Acid softsynth window but no sound. Has anyone else had this problem? 2.4g P4 asus P4Pe audiophile 24/96 Delta card ( the beta asio driver with the Acid fix)

When it has gone through its initialization, it should minimize its engine down to the taskbar - look for it there next to Acid. As for no sound, make sure you have the "monitor" button (looks like a speaker) enabled in its SoftSynth properties and also the "Enable MIDI" (I think it's called that - towards the top-left corner) button engaged. After all that, you should be able to peck on the keyboard to get some sound out of it and preview the patches. If that doesn't work, something else must be wrong.
