Man how long do we have to wait until we can use this sequencer with confidence?? I've been writing a song for the last few days with 4.0d with no problems whatsoever until firing-up the song in question only to find Acid had decided to replace SYNTH1 with a DLS synth and now my settings are painstakingly lost (I Stupidly relied on acid to save the last synth settings) **DUH** Acid just seems to be constricting my creative flow when something like this rears it's ugly head and kill's off spontaneity.. Don't get me wrong I'd love acid if it did what it said on the tin????? For Christ sake SF team get some more BETA testers for your next incarnation instead of using us the consumer!! *****FRUSTRATION************************************************************************************************************************** |

the MIDI implementation isn't perfect. but, it is there. i'm glad to see SF adding functionality like MIDI, and i understand that full blown MIDI may take a few revs. heck, what program hasn't had problems with new features? ACID has been a MAJOR composition tool solution for me. with that, i can handle a few bumps along the way and use other programs that were developed for MIDI ground up in the meantime. just my 2. fred |

Blah Blah Blah fhodshon !!!! But alas' this does not work in the real world,Where people rely on THE product to function/Dilivery as described........ I'm about the last person to start blubbering like a BIATCH but im SICK as a PARROT!! (DId the race to add REWIRE blind the SF team to acquiring reliability?) did the thought of a lovely write-up in CM 'saying " SF Adds REWIRE" get you wet between the ear's? Enough is enough !! I love acid !! But the SF team are letting it down!!! Might sound harsh but it's true!!! |

skz- Sorry to hear you had problems loading your synth. If ACID tries to load a project containing a VSTi that it can't find on the system (not altogether uncommon for backed-up projects, or projects traded across systems), it loads the DLS synth in its stead, which is at least a SAFE thing to do. If you didn't save over the project after reopening, you should be able to get Synth1 back on your system, and then when you reload your original project, it will reload properly. If you did save over the project after the Synth1 disappeared, then your VSTi settings would be lost. HTH, Joel |

Hey, not to stir the pot, but nowhere on the tin does it describe acid as a sequencer. It's a pro composition tool that uses loops...from what I know the beta test was extensive and as thorough as could possibly be... Did you move files or have some kind of system problem? Did you edit the softsynth and replace itself with Synth 1? I find I have to refresh the synths in older projects to get everything to sit right. Also, did you try to uninstall and reinstall acid? Again, I'm not trying to poke you with a sharp stick, but could there possibly be some other causes in addition to a new version of Acid? |
