Subject:Problems Mixing Down in Acid 3-Build 189

I`m using Acid 3-bld 189 and am having problems mixing down just over 2 mins 30 of a mix. There`s a load of samples in it-over 60 in all,and thousands of edit points, but surely mixing this down shouldn`t be a problem.I have a P4 2.4 running at 2.7 gig-1 Gig of DDr Ram,and a soundblaster Audigy 2 soundcard, more than enough for the job i would have thought!!! Upon mixing down the track, the proces slows and slows, and more often than not times out-unable to mix audio. The ram monitor in the bottom right of the screen shows red and says 1.823/1.024 obviously trying to use more ram than i have, but this doesnt sound right to me.I`m also unable to select my soundcard in options/preferences/audio,all that shows up are microsoft sound mapper, and windows classic wave driver, has anyone had similar problems,or anyone got any ideas that could help me out please!!!

Anything running in the backgound besides ACID? Close anything down before running ACID.

Your RAM usage meter is rather alarming. I've had a lot of tracks in my projects (about 40+) and only top out at about 70 to 80 MB.

How many tracks are you bouncing down at once?

You should select "Windows Classic Wave" as your driver model, then the appropriate hardware output to your soundcard immediately below.

Why are you using build 189? Go to the download page and get the latest build, which has almost 200 builds of goodness added... :) If you choose Windows CWD from the list, then it should allow you to use your installed Audigy 2 drivers.
