Deleting including "delete hole"?

I wish to delete a few seconds early on in my project, and have everything after that being moved to the left, events, envelopes, markers, the whole lot. Is there an easy way to do this?

Sorry if this is obvious... for some reason I've never needed this feature before.

Activate the "Ripple Edit" button in the toolbar or the Options menu before executing the edit.

Be sure to "Lock envelopes to events", I have V3 and the markers and regions don't move but everything else does.

Hmmm.... What you could do is set the snap offset on one file to the first marker then do your edit and then move all the markers at once to the same position as the snap offset.

just something that came to mind..?

I believe there a few different ripple modes to choose from. One includes markers as a ripple, I've used it with CD tracks and achieved what you're looking for.
