Something to fix the sound mapper glitch up?
and a bit better docs on the new midi setup.

C'mon guys, I bought a pc because of this stuff. Don't make me regret it now.

Spheris--Sorry this is frustrating you. What specifically are you looking for that you're not able to find in the current docs?

Had to hunt through the forums to find the changes made in the midi routing to enable the input. that part got solved, but kind of odd I didn;t find it in the readme file for the update itself. Or maybe didn't read it right - its possible.

One the other side is the 24 bit/sound mapper problem in a few of the other threads, this is a new dell with an audigy 2 card, 16 bit asio/ but 24 bit wdm and worked fine till these last few updates knocked out the 24 bit capability. Any eta on the fix for that. I know its making a few of us crazy>

I'm getting a similar error message since 4.0c. something like "The playback device xxx does not exist"

I just thought it was my crappy soundcard.... (Guillemot MaxiStudio ISIS) even though it worked under 4.0b

Using the "use microsoft sound mapper" option is Ok..... I'm having a problem with "classic wave device" (or whatever)

john..

Sorry to ask,

I know I'm not the only one to. But when can we expect a fix for the sound mapper trouble? Please tell me soon.

We're planning on releasing an update to fix 24-bit playback with CWD. As soon as we can reasonably work it into the schedule. Sorry can't be more specific at this time. If you need the ACID 4.0b installer in the meantime, please contact customer service, and they can help you get it.

"..... update to fix 24-bit playback with CWD".

I don't use the CWD much, but it seems to be broke here too, with the Quattro.
24 bit CWD still working in Vegas.

Thanks
