maybe i'm getting a grip on this. i like using Sonar for Midi and ACID for loops (i know Sonar supports loops, but ACID is so much cooler.). I like writing in standard notation, so Sonar rules there. Am i to understand, that i can slave Sonar sessions to an ACID project? that would be nice. best of bof' woilds! fred |

Since SONAR is a ReWire host, not a ReWire device, it cannot be used within ACID (or vice versa). ACID 4.0 is also a ReWire host, so it can't be used as a ReWire device in another app. Cakewalk's Project5 is a ReWire device. So is Propellerhead's Reason (who started all this, naturally). Ableton's Live is another. HTH, Iacobus |
