hello, please help, i'm trying to sync up my acid 4.0 program to be the master to my roland vs 880 so i can record each individual track into my pc and the tracks will sync up. but when i do this the audio stutters and pops then sometimes stops altogether. but when i use the roland to master acid it doesn't do it but then i can't start and stop recording at the same time and my tracks won't sync up. for some reason i remember being able to do this with 2.0. any help please. thanks |

ACID, just as in most MIDI sync situations, likes to be the master. What are you using for a soundcard/audio interface to go out to the VS-880? Have you tried to update drivers for the audio interface? HTH, Iacobus |

I've got a little utility called VScopy that lets you transfer tracks as waves to/from your PC and VS880. I have not tested it under WinXP, but it worked nicely under W98SE/Me. Send me a note to erik.nygaard@nrk.no if you want it. Erik |

i'm using audiophile 24/96 card with the latest drivers. i understand that acid likes to be master and that's the only way it works so all the tracks record at the same time so they are synced up, but like i said the audio skips and stutters if i do it this way. thanks, chris |

Cool! Will it work with VS1880 as well? If so, I have a buddy who is blind and is using my PC to transfer stuff and this sounds like a great utility! Luces |

I've only used it with a VS880, but it should be easy to check. Send me a note to erik.nygaard@nrk.no and I'll send the zip. Also, for those of you who works a lot with the VS/PC there's an Australian (!) sequencer made specifically for this, check out: http://www.datasonics.com.au/ Erik |
