ok i had a really bad recording session today cause its really sucks when your main recording software dont work properly. i had acid pro 4.0c version in before and recorded vocals on it worked perfectly no problems.... with my sound augidy platitum card by creative lab on althon 1G, 512mb..... NOW today i downloaded this D version update and vocals were out of synth its very annoying trying to record vocals and its about 1/2 measure out of place... NOW i was going to blame the sound card for this problem but i didnt cause i uninstall acid pro 4.0d and went back to appilication CD acid pro 4.0a and reinstalled it..... WOW it works ok now the vocals are in synth. NOW my question to you why the update didnt work and earlier version did???? very confused and annoyed by this problem i need answers??? Thank you |

in synth? don't you mean in sync? (n'sync LOL!!!) i think most problems with people upgrading to 4.0c are caused by the audio driver prefs changing due to the new options. double check your audio driver settings. IMHO you really should get rid of that damn soundblaster card. you can find a better quality, more reliable 2-channel audio interface for less than a $150 at any music store. |

Well I can sympathize because I record primarily my own vocals and acoustic sessions and I also just upgraded from a Sound Blaster live Plat. to an Audigy Live Plat. The bottom line is that these are gamer sound cards and no matter what kind of hype you hear and read they simply don't, and probably never will, present a stable enough environment for what we're trying to do--Too many "Kodac moments" are going to be lost due to technical glitches. Multiply that by 2 when you consider that we're running on a ms-OS system. |
