I can't seem to get the cursor in Acid to match where the song is, it is anywhere from 2 to 5 measures off. I've never had this problem with Acid before upgrading. Someone on the Acid site said to go to the multimedia properties and deselect the map through this device function, however, I can't find the multimedia properties. I'm using Windows XP and have sound and audio devices. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Try going to the Audio tab under Options>Preferences on the menu bar.

Be sure to pick up any updated drivers if they are available at Creative's support site.

A personal observation: When I used to use a Sound Blaster Live, it was a dog with playback. Upgrading to a pro-level soundcard (an M-Audio Audiophile 2496) did the trick. The Audiophile and related pro-level soundcards such as the Echo Mia trump any soundcard from Creative. They just perform better overall.

Which of the two mentioned boards are better? I see there's an attachment for MIDI and what looks like standard RCA jacks for one pair of audio input on it. I may be considering getting one of them at some point as well.

I had the same issue. Open Acid>Options>Preferences>Audio>(First you've got to have Audio device type set on Windows Classic Wave Device)Advanced>Here is where the problem is you've got to tweak the Position Bias if the cursor is slow push to the right, if it's fast push to the left...Level Vibes
