thank you...thank you...thank you

installation was breeze

this is nearly perfect

the rewire host works like a dream

all the complaints i had about vsti, midi, and even asio have been fixed. i now get the same asio performance in acid as any other app. vsti are now painless and midi (with the right opt plug ins) is fully functional.

i'm making it official...ACID IS DA SH*T

the most powerful, flexible, easy to use audio app on the planet.

being able to use rex2 files with acid and acidized loops with reason has increased my palette tenfold. plus, sequencing with acid is much easier than reason's sequencer. i always hated how it was anchor based.

i didn't know the chopper works with midi also.

if anyone doesn't have reason go ahead, run out and make it your next purchase. it's the most complete suite of virtual instruments and it really complements acid.

i've never been this impressed.

I started another post about the MIDI CC menu, I was so happy. I did get one error that shut me down, but it wan't huge. I'll gladly fourth the praise on SoFo's head!

ACID 4.0c is so incredible...this is what they should have been doing all along. The ReWire implementation is without peer...I've tried thrm all (Sonar, SX, Nuendo, Tracktion, etc.) but the is the biz. Why oh why didn't they kick ass like this all along and be the innovators/leaders that they obviously can be. If they had put it down like this the whole time maybe they could've keep their fu@kin' company. This is truly a great piece of software. I'll pray that they sell so many new copies that Sony can't possibly abandon it. Hopefully not the right solution but too late.................

Problem patching Windows XP with Acid 4.0b installed. Purchased copy before anyone says anything! I get error opening file erv43260.dll cab g2plug.cab problem opening/can't find file. I am downloading 4.0d and will try and see if this installs ok. I pulled it down last night (4.0c). No problems with the download unless it got corrupted somehow.

Anyone else hit an error installing 4.0c?

Mike

Well, installed the full 4.0d with no problem. Wierd...Maybe that's why 4.0c disappeared? Or do they yank recent patches when the next one comes out? May want to think about leaving some of the other patches around in case someone doesn't want or need to go to the next release that happens to pop up at that time but could use an interim patch? Just a suggestion if the space is available (most likely it is).

At least I got it installed and it came up ok. I don't know when I will get a chance to play around with it (I don't have anything using Rewire at this point).

Nice to see updates again though and that they are working on updating it! Thanks!

Wonderful job Sonic Foundry
VERY stable, ALL of my VSTi's work, LOVE the new CC menu in the Piano Roll and the Automatic Midi Input Feature.

Thanks George Ware

First of all...congrats SOFO! I was ready to abandon Acid and go back to Cubase because of my growing stock of VSTi's that wouldn't work with Acid. The previous problems seem to be gone now. The VSTi's now work just as solid in Acid as they do in Cubase. This is great news! I'm so happy that you've also added ReWire! Now I can use Reason with Acid too! Massive Kudos to you guys for getting Acid to a level where us pro's can now get our work done!
