Subject:Scanning For Audio Plug-ins

Im sure this has been asked before... the scanning for audio plugins window that never disapears and crashes Acid. I had this problem the first time i dont know why its happening NOW... but it is. help.

And i am running a Radeon 7200

ah! something just reminded me.. i installed DX 9 and then never tried Acid. I THINK i had something earlier when Acid worked.. would this make a diff? can i fix my acid so that it works with DX 9??
