Subject:Midi Piano Roll notes don't show in track view

hi again,

got Acid talking to my XV-2020, need to double check the patch names though.

when i enter notes in the piano view and play back in that view, it plays fine.

when i save and return to the main track view, nothing shows up and nothing plays.

when i go back to piano roll, the notes are still there.

i'm able to add a patch change event, which works fine.

but, nothing in the main track view.

help?

At the top of your midi track insert a Control Change>Main Volume MSB

hmmm, tried that with no effect.

still doesn't play or show up in the main view.

i'll keep trying.

I hope I'm not stating the obvious, but in the past I've learned to assume nothing. Did you draw out some events on your MIDI track in the Track View? If you don't, you don't technically have any data, so we draw nothing. If you do, then your MIDI data should show up inside of the events.

Did you draw an ACID Event on the ACID MIDI track? MIDI is just like loops in ACID. You have to "draw" the ACID event on the main time line.
