Subject:interface woes

for some reason when I try to edit the track properties or fx properties instead of getting a little pop-up window I now have to drag the bottom of the screen up to see what I am working on. anybody know how to fix this?

Do you mean that those windows are now docked? To undock them, just click and drag on the vertical line about 2 millimeters to the right of the pane divider at the left edge of the docked window.

my point was that I dont want to have to drag anything, when i first installed the program there would be a little floating window that would popup

As long as you drag the plugin window out of the docking area as Joel describes, you'll be fine since the window always open in its previous location. But as it's down there now you'll have to drag it at least once to get it out of there.
