Is Acid going to become just a rewire host or will it be a rewire client as well.

I appear to be one of the few people here who just cant get along with Reason but Id love to plug Acid into Cubase with Rewire....it would be so cool.

I'd like to use Acid with Cubase too, otherwise I am stuck with rendering stuff closing the application, opening another application, rinse, repeat etc...

ACID 4.0c will permit hosting ReWire devices. ACID is not a ReWire device and can not be hosted in ReWire Mixers.

from what I understand, it's more likely that Acid will be a rewire device in version 5.0. I use Cubase also and would love to be able to use them together...Be patient, and try to see what a huge effort went into adding a major feature in a point release as opposed to waiting for the next version. Don't forget about automatable bus tracks, more dxi effects that can be automated etc...This is going to be a fantastic release and just points to how hard the Acid developers are working to put the features that users want out there.
And don't make the mistake in thinking that this is because of the cash injection of the desktop sale. getting all of this in there didn't start yesterday, I'm sure it's been in the works for a long time.

Dave B.

Frankly, I don't know if I can use the Rewire capability or not; don't know that much about it yet like some of you...but the fact that this is an update, hey, I'm happy as a clam...I'll take it...!
