The dynamic mic can be used successfully in the studio. Some singers like to hold a mike for more emotional expression. The dynamic mic- just as in a live situation- will resist handling noise and withstand higher SPL than the average condenser or studio mic.

True. But condensers generally sound much better. They have more "presence," "air," and "detail." But it probably has a lot to do with the kind of music you are doing and your singer.
