Subject:24 bit recording with Midiman audiophile 2496 - Acid Pro 2

Using Win 2k, Acid pro 2 with midiman audiophole 2496 soundcard
For playback - when setting sample size to anything but 16 bit (ie to 24 bit packed or unpacked) it says the media type is unsupported.
For recording - only 16 bit sample size is available in dropdown. On my laptop running win xp and with intel integrated audio chipset on motherboard, at least 24 bit sample sizes are available in the dropdown for recording (although it gives the above error message again when you choose it)
Any ideas how I can take advantage of my 24 bit audiophile soundcard (the driver is the latest v for win 2k)?
Thanks, p

I am not sure about this, but I thought only ACID Pro 3.0 and above were officially supported on Windows 2000 and XP?

Even so, I couldn't think of a reason why it wouldn't work. Have you tried both the officially-supported 5.10.00.27 drivers from M-Audio as well as the beta 5.10.00.29x12 betas? (Be sure that when you install drivers that you use the "Delta Uninstaller" that comes with the drivers.)

Thanks - i've only tried the 5.10.00.27 driver and i'm not sure that i used the delta uninstaller before updating. i will try to reinstall that one and try the other one you mentioned. I'll also doublecheck what OS 2.0 is officially supported on....I guess it's a bit old. Thanks again, P
