Hi yall,
I have this bass violin loop that I made and I needed a couple of extra seconds on it for a section of video that I am scoring. I time stretched it in SF6 and brought it back into ACID Music and now it sound terrible, like it has this low end rumble of artifacts in it. If I play it in SF6 it sounds fine. What's up? How do i fix this? Thanx. - Kjellster

Hello K.,

Sounds like ACID is doing some timestretching of its own.

Since you've altered the length of the loop, you've also altered the ACIDized properties (i.e., the tempo) of the loop. (The two are related.) On top of that, ACID is now stretching the new ACIDized properties to fit your project's tempo.

Instead of timestretching the bass loop externally in Sound Forge, have you tried scoring the video with ACID itself, using its various features to sync the video with audio? Email me if you'd like more info, or pick up the full ACID 3.0 manual and consult the chapter on working with video.

HTH,
Iacobus
