Subject:forge 6 is pissing me off!

i installed new drivers for my MOTU 2408 and now playback in SF is garbled*. it sounds like a buffering problem, but i have tried all kinds of buffering configurations and nothing alleviates the problem. also, i have tried the 'legacy wave support' setting both on and off in the MOTU control panel - it makes no difference.

acid 4 works fine!!! WTF?!?!

not really much more to say....

any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! TIA! =)

edit: *garbled = choppy, like when u use the gapper/snipper or overtax your cpu

Sounds like you have a problem between your new drivers/MOTU 2408 and your computer. Care to pass along your hardware configuration? You very well might be overtaxing your operating system. What are you using?

Why is forge 6 pissing you off, and not your mOTu drivers ?

I find it best to uninstall my MOTU drivers, remove the PCIx24, install the new drivers, then reinstall the interface.
