Subject:outboard gear: saving multiple settings

i've got several synth/keyboard modules being controlled by a triton. over the years i've enjoyed building different and original sounds for every song. recently i've had to go back and re-record a few of those sounds but because they were one-of-a-kind, there was no way to duplicate them.

manually writing each parameter setting for each patch/channel used in each module takes too much time to stay in the groove.

most of my modules have several knobs and switches + their own storage memory. sure i could save each patch in each module but how to i recall the comination that i used to build the entire sound across all the modules?

is there a program or tool i can use to instantly recall the 'stack' i've created? perhaps i'm looking for a way to take a snapshot of each mod's settings and save that as an exclusive file that will load the right settings whenever i open that song...

not sure this is even Acid related..but shouldnt all that gear have a "save" feature?

i mean, when you load a patch, you should be able to override it if youve made changes to make it sound "better"

in case this was hidden in my previous post:

"sure i could save each patch in each module but how do i recall the comination that i used to build the entire sound across all the modules?"

i need a way to save the patches and settings i use from all modules into one file that will reload those settings when needed.

i'll put it another way:

if you stacked 7 sound modules and tweaked them all individually to create one big fat synth, how would you save all the individual settings for all the mods as one file so you could easily recall that big fat synth at any time?

A tool like MIDI Quest by Sound Quest should be able to help you out.
