Hi
I'm looking for some software or hardware to help me with drum and bass tracks. I'd like to be able to select from a wide range of presets (reggae, rock, pop etc) but still have control over individual beats. And I'd like plenty of variation in fills and breaks. I'm not a rhythm person so I need something to work with first. I'll be taking the tracks into Acid and overlaying the rest. Does anyone have any recommendations? I don't mind working with software or hardware as long as it works well with Acid. The higher the quality the better.
Thanks
Mark

Reason from Propellerhead Software or Reaktor from Native Instruments are great choices.

Reaktor can act as a VSTi within ACID Pro 4.0. Reason...hmm... >:o)

aldred - I'm in a similar situation. I narrowed the options down to 3:

1. FL Studio with Acid
2. Reaktor with Acid
3. Reason with Live

As I do more research, option #3 sounds more and more appealing. But everyone is different, and if you are "not a rythm person", then #1 may be better for you since it is easy to work with (at least that's what people say).
