I moved SF6 and BC5 with their image to a new hard drive in the same machine and these are the only two program so far that won't run. I've reinstalled them after removing them and they still won't run. I am at a loss. Here's the error I get. sfbatch.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created. of course when I run SF6, I get the same error only with sf.exe I'm running Win2000Pro with SP3. I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times and still get this error when I run the program. |

I believe you need to get a new activation code from Sonic Foundry. The following is from the SF knowledge base. http://www.sonicfoundry.com/support/SupportProduct.asp?FamilyID=4&Family=Sound+Forge&TopicID=27&DetailID=1204 I have posted to a couple of forums asking if drives cloned using Norton Ghost will allow these programs to run without reinstalling. How about it? Anybody? Anyhow, I'll post here if I learn any more. |

I have restored my system from a Ghost image on several occasions and had no problems. No need to reinstall anything. Steve |
