Subject:Space between loops

Hello,

I have a drum loop that I've sampled and have repeated for about 8 bars in Acid Pro 4.0. Each loop is 1 bar in length. There is a slight space of silence between each loop, however it is still in time. It just sounds sloppy. How can I get rid of this? Do I have to resample? I cut it perfectly and it looped fine when I sampled it in Sound Forge. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

did you save it as mp3? if so that is your problem. the mp3 format automagically adds the space, nothing you can do about it. save the loop as a .wav file instead and try it again, should be fine now.

I saved it originally as a wav. I never work in mp3 format since I'm mixing in 24-bits, 48 Khz.

hmm then i don't know why ACID would add a silence in the loop, if you say it loops perfectly in SF? maybe you're timestretching it too much in ACID?

This is obvious, but have you zoomed right the way in to see that everything is properly lined up ?

I agree. In Sound Forge, zoom all the way in and have a look at the loop.

OK, I'll try that. Thanks.
