Does anyone know how (through a registry hack or otherwise) to make the .sfk files hidden? They are such a pain in the butt. Everytime I sift through a folder of samples I have to deal with hundreds of .sfk files. I am sure there is a way to designate this file type as a 'system file' and then at least they would go away if you hide system files. Someone please help... I have looked everywhere. Recone F. You might want to do a Find > F or F for *.sfk and delete them all. Sound Forge will recreate them as needed when you open a file. If you have SF 6 (I don't) there is a setting in Options, something like "delete temp files on close". MJ |

i think it might work if you go to Sound Forge's Options -> Preferences -> File, and the enable the "Hide new temporary files" option. i'm not sure, as i wanna see all files, even if they are hidden, but you could always give it a try. :) |

You can hide selected file types in Windows: However I can't remember how to at the moment. See the Microsoft knowledge base |
