Hi I'm looking for some software or hardware to help me with drum and bass tracks. I'd like to be able to select from a wide range of presets (reggae, rock, pop etc) but still have control over individual beats. And I'd like plenty of variation in fills and breaks. I'm not a rhythm person so I need something to work with first. I'll be taking the tracks into Acid and overlaying the rest. Does anyone have any recommendations? I don't mind working with software or hardware as long as it works well with Acid. The higher the quality the better. Thanks Mark |

Reason from Propellerhead Software or Reaktor from Native Instruments are great choices. Reaktor can act as a VSTi within ACID Pro 4.0. Reason...hmm... >:o) HTH, Iacobus |

aldred - I'm in a similar situation. I narrowed the options down to 3: 1. FL Studio with Acid 2. Reaktor with Acid 3. Reason with Live As I do more research, option #3 sounds more and more appealing. But everyone is different, and if you are "not a rythm person", then #1 may be better for you since it is easy to work with (at least that's what people say). |
