Subject:Unable to open a wav file Posted by: andyrau Date:5/18/2003 1:16:47 AM hi, i have a really wierd problem ! i extracted the audio from a damaged DIVX movie file using AVI File Info. when i play it, it works completely fine. but when i try to open it with sound forge 6, it opens a blank file. when i try to play, nothing happens, and when i try to use to 'go to' function, i get the error msg 'No data in input stream'. its like as if there is no content in the file !! in fact, when i click the file->open, the preview that shows up in the bottom also reads incorrect information. it says the file length is 45 mins only when the actual file is 2 hrs and 6 mins long ! i tried opening the avi file directly, but it failed to open it since like i mentioned earlier - the file is damaged in one particular area. so, when i play the divx movie, no audio is present - but when i extract the audio using AVI File Info, the entire audio is extracted !! i would really appreciate it if someone could suggest some method where i can open the audio file in sound forge. thanx, andyrau
