Subject:Copying Markers?

Good day all. I am sure I am not the first to ask about this, but...is there ANY way to copy/paste key, time signature and tempo markers in Acid projects? I've searched in a few old threads and on the Acid Planet site, but nothin". Somebody suggested the Ripple edit function, but it might not be working properly for me or I am just an idiot. In the manual it says that if you drag along the timeline (I assume the bottom timeline in a project) that every event in the time line will be selected, but nothing gets selected for me. Also if I select everything (using selection tool) the markers are not copied, so maybe if someone has experience using the Ripple Edit function, they could hip me to what it is really for. Thanks for any help with this issue. Luces |

You cannot copy markers. The bottom line is called the time ruler. Basically, you can click and drag the time ruler to "grab" and move the project, but you're not doing any editing per se. In ACID Pro 4.0, if you do a paste insert (CTRL+SHIFT+V is the shortcut) with the cursor placed where you want the paste to occur, anything to the right of the cursor will be moved to accomodate the pasted data, markers included. If ripple edits are on (CTRL+L to toggle), anything deleted will immediately be filled in with any data that was to the right, markers included. However, if you simply paste, the markers will not move but any data immediately to right will move to accomodate. Do a paste insert command instead if you want the markers to move along with the data. HTH, Iacobus |
