Subject:Panning Conversion Question

Okay, I'm just horribly stupid at math. Somebody please help me!

My scoring program takes panning values in -/+ from zero (=64, center-panned), and I've carefully calculated out my pannings there. But when I record out the individual voice lines (as mono) and bring them into Acid, I'm working with percentages left and right.

I want to throw a formula in my spreadsheet that will calculate my panning values from my scoring program (e.g., 40 [left], 85 [right], etc., with 64, again, being center 0%), so I can see right away what percentages left and right in Acid correspond to those values.

There's got to be a "simple" formula to calculate these values. Can anyone help me with this?

I think I've figured it out. I just uploaded an Excel calculator for anyone who wants it. I've used the -/+ entry to get voice lines balanced left and right; the percentage panning calculations I added today after going through all kinds of madness thinking I needed to use logs and all that. I think this is going to work, though. At least my initial tests with my piece in Acid sound like they did under the absolute midi value system my scoring program uses.
