ACID 3 Pent 4 1.3Gb
I have been working on a remix of which the main track is off a cd and beatmapped.
I have just opened it to work on it and the main beatmapped track now sounds phased and wooshy!!!!! This seems to have happened out of the blue as it was perfect before.
If I turn this track into a one shot it sounds OK but than of course it goes out of sync with everything else. I am loathed to reload this track as there are now a few edits in it.
I am thinking am I overloading my memory? My meter is at 24/256MB. is this normal.
Any ideas.

If your beatmapped track has a tempo near, but not equal to, the project tempo, AND you have preserve pitch turned on, it's not unexpected to hear some flanging or chorus-like effect.

If the project tempo is exactly the same as the beatmapped track's tempo, it should sound exactly the same. If it's within one BPM, it may have a flangey ring to it, and if its between 1 and 3 bpm, it'll be a little more like a chorus sound. Beyond that range, it will sound much cleaner until you get near to the stretching limits.

HTH,
Joel
